Some of the biggest names in English national and international cricket will be in action during the NatWest T20 Blast. The batting, for instance, is being led by Kent’s Sam Northeast and international star Chris Gayle, who has already smacked a 150 in the T20 Blast.

Paul Stirling was consistent across all his three innings to get to 217 runs before he left to represent Ireland in the Intercontinental Cup, while Ryan ten Doeschate seems to be fighting a lone battle for Essex with the bat.

The bowling has been led by the likes of Usman Arshad in the Durham squad while those from abroad include Alfonso Thomas, a T20 specialist and Shaun Tait, who has picked up eight wickets already from five games.

There have been overseas signings too. International cricketers like Glenn Maxwell, Aaron Finch, Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Martin Guptill being some of the foreign players who will be in action in the competition.

Here’s how you can watch the NatWest T20 Blast 2015 live

In latest news, Leicestershire have signed up for Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal and he will act as a cover for Grant Elliot. Elliot might miss the first four games of the competition because of New Zealand’s tour of England.

Alex Hales is back from his stint with the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League where he was a part of the title-winning side. He didn’t play a single game but would have taken something away from having worked a few days under Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting.

Also returning to the NatWest T20 Blast squads is Ryan ten Doeschate, who was playing in the IPL till recently. He will captain Essex.
