Ireland v Scotland 2nd T20I betting tips & predictions – Can Ireland level the series?

After a thumping defeat in the first T20I against Scotland, Ireland will be looking to bounce back and level the series. Here’re the Ireland v Scotland 2nd T20I betting tips to help you take your betting decisions better.

Result:

The match was abandoned due to rain. The third T20I of the series, also its last, will be played on Sunday.

Story so far:

Ireland had walked into the first T20I as favourites to win the game but they were given a rude shock by Scotland. They were first restricted to 146 in their 20 overs after having decided to bat first and this was not only followed by a defeat but a pummelling one at that.

Led by wicket-keeper Matthew Cross’ 34-ball 60, Scotland romped home to the target in 16.1 overs and with six wickets standing to go 1-0 up.

There was a time in the chase that Scotland did look like they were going to unravel quite quickly but Richie Berrington and Craig Wallace pulled them through with an unbeaten 56-run stand for the fifth wicket.

Ireland will be specially disappointed with the way they batted. On a reasonably decent looking pitch in Bready, they were held down to a sub-150 total with only David Rankin and captain Kevin O’Brien getting into 30s.

Sure, they were without their main men in William Porterfield and Niall O’Brien but they could have done a lot more. Can they improve on their poor batting showing in this second game?

For Scotland, Michael Leask’s 2/23 from his four overs set the foundation of the Cross innings. He will continue to remain a danger-man.
