Durham v Lancashire betting tips & predictions NatWest T20 Blast 2015

Durham and Lancashire go head to head in their NatWest T20 Blast match on Thursday and this could be a crucial North Group encounter. Here’re some of the Durham v Lancashire betting tips for this NatWest T20 Blast 2015 encounter.

Lancashire ran off to a win against Durham in the 19th over of the match. Durham made 141, but an unbeaten 63 from Ashwell Prince helped Lancashire pass the line.

There isn’t much to choose between these two sides. Durham might be two points ahead of Lancashire, but have played an extra game, which means a win here will put the latter level on points with the hosts. And they would still maintain that one-game advantage.

Not too long ago, Durham were on the top of the table, but had played a lot more matches than others. And then, when they lost a close thriller to Worcestershire two weeks ago, they lost that top spot.

It looked like Usman Arshad and Paul Collingwood had done well in that game to restrict Worcestershire to 159 in their 20 overs. And at 40 without loss in four overs, Durham looked set to march towards a win. However, a middle-order collapse left them struggling, especially when they lost three wickets for just nine runs.

Gordon Muchall hit out for 41 but in the end they fell short by three runs.

Lancashire have had an interesting tournament, with a couple of last ball wins to their name. However, they are coming off two defeats in a row in games they could have won.

With Worcestershire needing six to win from two balls, James Faulkner was hit for a maximum off the penultimate ball in one of those games while the same Aussie failed to hit a four to tie the game off the last ball against Northamptonshire.

Players to watch out for:

Ben Stokes (Durham):
Stokes could be back for this game after featuring for England in their T20I against New Zealand and Durham will hope for a lot from this England international. Will he shine for his county side with both, the bat and the ball?

James Faulkner (Lancashire):
He has had a couple of ups and downs last two games but one can sense a big performance is around the corner with the ball. After a poor IPL following Australia’s World Cup triumph, it looks like Faulkner’s getting his lost mojo back already.

Durham v Lancashire head to head:
This is a whopping head to head, one-sided in favour of Lancashire. In a format that’s expected to narrow the gap between teams, Lancashire have won 14 and lost just five of their previous encounters. The good news for Durham is that in the first match these two sides played earlier this year, they had won by 16 runs.

Durham v Lancashire betting tips:
Lancashire to win: 10/11
James Faulkner to be Lancashire’s top bowler: 3/1
Phil Mustard to be Durham’s top batsman

Match starts at 6.30 pm local time (1730 hours GMT) on June 25.
