Chelsea v Arsenal betting tips & predictions Community Shield 2015

Chelsea take on Arsenal in what could get to be an exciting and at times a furiously-contested FA Community Shield encounter on Sunday. Chelsea v Arsenal betting tips have been placed at the end of this article.

Arsenal beat Chelsea to win the title

The Premier League defending champions and the FA Cup winners will be hosted by the Wembley Stadium in London on August 2 with the game starting off at 4 pm local time.

It’s been 10 years since Arsenal took on Chelsea in a Community Shield game, and though it’s an easy prediction to make, one is almost hoping the underdogs finally break the jinx that the wily Jose Mourinho has had on them forever.

Back in 2005, it was Didier Drogba putting two into the net for Chelsea, and Cesc Fabregas who pulled one back for Arsenal. Funnily enough, this time Fab is on the other side. And the keeper then, the mighty Petr Cech, has changed sides this summer.

It may just be an appetizer to what the season has in store for us, but when has a Mourinho-Wenger face-off ever been dull? If push comes to shove, Mourinho should be better prepared this time. Tactically he’s always been one up, and this time should be no different.

But Arsenal’s pre-season form has been phenomenal, and fortunately, nobody’s pulled out injured. Yet. Olivier Giroud and Mesut Ozil looked at ease against their preseason opponents, as did the ever reliable midfield. On the other hand, it was an amazing display by Hazard against Barcelona, dazzling as ever. New signing Kennedy also looked sharp.

Both defenses have been solid over the years, and apart from a weakness in goal for Arsenal over the years, there’s no more excuses now.

We could bring to the fore that it’s been ages since Arsenal found the net against this Chelsea side. And Mourinho, in his second stint at Stamford, would love to keep that going. The jibes, of course, have already begun, and both sets of fans wait with bated breath at this evergreen showdown.

While Chelsea have consistently been a title holder, Arsenal for once look like they could actually challenge the biggies this year. But will they get by Mou’s mind games? Wembley should give us an idea.
