The new English Premier League season is right around the corner. Along with the season itself, comes the all new season of the Fantasy Football Premier League. the chance for all fans to prove their managerial skills and fight for loads of prizes. Fantasy Football Premier League Tips can be found at the end of this article.
This time around FPL has changed some rules adding loads of excitement. Let us run through the three new rules in the game.
1) All out attack:
Here you are given the option to play with a 2-5-3 formation once in the season. This gives you a chance to play as many attackers as possible. So keep an eye out on the fixture list and choose when to use this wisely.
2) Triple Captain:
During one gameweek, your captain can score three times his tally in comparison to two times that he usually scores. So, pick up that one in-form player and when he is up against one of the weaker sides, use this option and hope he smashes in a brace.
3) Bench Boost:
Here, in addition to the eleven players you choose, players on your bench also will score points for you. This is a great technique for you to reduce the gap against your fellow players in your private leagues.
The basics of the game remain the same so lets get right into it. With gameweek one less than week away here are a few players that you should look to have in your team.
James Milner of Liverpool has moved to a more of a central role in his new teams and has had a great pre-season in front of goal. He has netted a couple of times and has also set up for players around him to score. He would be a great pick at 7.0 for your team.
Arsenal’s new keeper Petr Cech is a great buy at 5.5 and is surely going to start in goal given the departure of the former Arsenal number one. Arsenal can give you a lot of points in the start of the season given that they start their season off against West Ham United and Crystal Palace. Chech and his new defense can be expected to hold clean sheets in both these games.
Raheem Sterling has made a big career switch and joined Manchester City. He has been tipped to have a great career now that he will play around world class talent and more established players. In pre-season he hammered in a few goals and is expected to continue doing just that. His trickery and pace makes him a good buy at 9.0.
Remember the golden rule of Fantasy Premier League football, have as many set piece takers in your team as they have way more chances of getting you points than any other player.
Wish you the best of luck for the new season and keep an eye on this space for more tips.
