Kent v Lancashire Betting Tips & Predictions NatWest T20 Blast quarter-finals

The last quarter-final of the NatWest T20 Blast 2015 will see Kent take on Lancashire at Canterbury. The Kent v Lancashire betting tips & predictions can be found below.

As we had predicted, Lancashire have managed to stun Kent after their game ended in a tie.

Kent’s campaign in the NatWest T20 Blast went to plan from the word go. Of the first five games, they won four with their only defeat coming at the hands of Middlesex – a shock one given their opponents won just four in the entire season.

And they followed it up with five wins in a row in the second stage of the tournament. What makes it even more commendable is that they could have easily lost their way following successive defeats after their first five games.

It must be added here though, that Kent’s performances in the T20 Blast have been heavily dependent on Sam Northeast’s performances with the bat. In 13 matches, he has piled up more than 600 runs, averaging 52 and with a strike-rate over 150. The next best for them is just 330 runs which begs the question, what happens if Northeast fails in one of the knock-out game?

That’s exactly what Lancashire will be gunning for. In James Faulkner, who wasn’t selected by Australia because of his drunk-driving ban, they have a bowler who scalped 18 wickets during the league stage and they also have left-arm spinner Stephen Parry to try and nullify the opposition. Even Parry has picked up 18 sticks.

Lancashire’s true test will be their batting. Steven Croft has 456 runs but then like his opponents, there haven’t been too many others to consistently score heavily. Ashwell Prince’s 336 runs have come at only 28.

In fact, Lancashire were lucky to even make the quarter-finals. Going into their last league they were level with Nottinghamshire on points, but ahead on the net run-rate. Unfortunately for the Notts, both the games got abandoned and allowed Lancashire to get away to make the quarter-finals.
