Roger Federer v Leonardo Mayer betting tips & live streaming US Open 2015

Second seeded Swiss Roger Federer will meet the Argentinean Leonardo Mayer, in the first round of the US Open on Tuesday evening in New York. Roger Federer v Leonardo Mayer betting tips can be found at the end of this article.

Roger Federer won in straight sets.

At 34 years of age, Federer has shown absolutely no signs of slowing down and has shut his critics in a remarkable fashion by winning the Cincinnati Masters a few weeks back. He lifted his fifth title of the year in style, by overcoming Andy Murray in the semifinal and subsequently, Novak Djokovic, in straight sets.

With that win, he also avenged his defeat in the final of the Wimbledon, where he lost to the Serbian in four sets. His season so far has been nothing short of brilliance, having emerged as the runner-up in Indian Wells and Italian Open. Federer is coming in this tournament with an exceptional record of 45-7 this year.

Last year at Flushing Meadows, the world no. 2 was the semifinalist, where he was routed by Marin Cilic. He last won the title here back in 2008.

On the other hand, Mayer has had a fairly decent season so far. His best run of the year came in ATP Nice, where he emerged as the runner-up, losing to Dominic Thiem.

In addition to this, the world no. 35 reached the third round in Wimbledon and the Roland Garros. His US Open series has been a highly uneventful one. He has failed to move past the third round, and in Cincinnati, he was defeated in the first round itself.

Federer is in an excellent form, and has a considerable amount of experience over his adversary. He should reach the next round comfortably.
