Rafael Nadal v Diego Schwartzman betting tips can be found here as the two players will go head to head in the second round of the 2015 US Open, on Wednesday afternoon in New York.
Rafael Nadal won in straight sets.
Nadal started out his bid for the first Grand Slam of the season on a rather shaky note, as he had some troubles in overcoming the young Croatian Borna Coric. The Spaniard managed to win the match 6-3, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 with the help of six aces and winning 88 percent in the first service points.
As for Schwartzman, he didn’t have any difficulty in winning against his Swedish opponent Elias Ymer, whom he defeated 6-3, 6-2, 6-2, in a little under two hours.
Nadal, who has been seeded eighth for the tournament, has had a fairly disappointing year so far. He has struggled a lot with his form through the course of the season, as a result of which he has slipped down in the rankings to the eighth place.
His US Open series too was an uneventful one, losing in the third round of Cincinnati Open to Feliciano Lopez and in the quarterfinal of Rogers Cup to Kei Nishikori. He last won a title in the ATP Hamburg, where he defeated Fabio Fognini in the final.
On the other hand, Schwartzman has had a far more disappointing season. With a record of 10-20, he has lost a lot of his opening matches in the tournaments over the year. However, in the Winston-Salem Open most recently, he had a decent run, where he reached the third round.
Nadal is considerably more experienced here and he shouldn’t have troubles here in breezing into the next round.
