Murray found himself in quite a situation on Thursday afternoon in his round two fixture against the Frenchman Adrian Mannarino. It took him almost two hours to two hours to find his rhythm, owing to which he was two sets down.
However, he staged a remarkable comeback after that and won the game 5-7, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3, 6-1, with the help of 21 aces.
Bellucci on the other hand defeated the Japanese qualifier Yoshihoto Nishioka in straight sets 6-0, 6-3, 6-4, producing 15 aces in the match.
The Brazilian, who is ranked at 30th place in the world, has had a pretty decent season up until now. With a track record of 26-23, he has won a singles title in ATP Geneva. He also had a decent run in the Winston-Salem Open a few weeks back, where he was the quarterfinalist.
Meanwhile, the world no. 3 has been working hard this season and is in pursuit of his maiden Grand Slam title of the year. With 56-9 before the tournament, he has won four titles, the most recent of which was the Rogers Cup. He followed this excellent performance by reaching the semifinal in the Cincinnati Masters.Earlier this year, the British no. 1 has also lifted the Madrid Masters trophy, and emerged as the runner-up in Miami Masters.
For this game, he is certainly the favorite one, owing to his momentum and the experience.
