Top seeded Serbian Novak Djokovic will take on the 23rd seeded Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, in the round four of the US Open 2015 on Sunday in New York. Novak Djokovic v Roberto Bautista Agut betting tips can be found here.
Djokovic won in four sets to make it to the quarter-finals.
The world no. 1 continued his perfect start at the Flushing Meadows by defeating the Italian giant Andreas Seppi in straight sets 6-3, 7-5, 7-5. He saw himself through to the next week in a little over two hours, and produced 11 aces in the match.
Meanwhile, the Spaniard had a lucky break in his third round match against the 14th seeded Belgian David Goffin, who retired from the match after leading 2-1. With that victory, Agut now finds himself in the fourth round of a Grand Slam, for the second time this year.
He had a similar run in the Wimbledon, where he succumbed to Roger Federer. Apart from that, he has performed quite well in the ATP 250 series events, having reached the semifinal on many occasions. However, in the US Open series, his run was far from eventful as he succumbed in the second round itself, in Rogers Cup and Cincinnati Masters.
As for the Serbian, having won the Australian Open and the Wimbledon, he has an enormous amount of experience and momentum. In Cincinnati and Montreal most recently, he was the runner-up, losing to Federer and Andy Murray in the finals respectively.
Djokovic has an excellent record on hard surface this year, and it will be an incredible difficult task for Agut to win here. For me, the top seed is certainly the favorite one and should reach the final eight easily.
