So England and Australia move on to Headingley for the fourth ODI of the five match series, with England having managed to keep the outcome of the contest alive, with their comprehensive victory at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

While none of the three matches to date has provided the exhilarating cricket that the series between England and New Zealand brought earlier in the summer, it is still a captivating series.

More encouraging for the home team, was the performance of their two spinners, with Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali scragging five wickets between them, as the tourists were dismissed by 207. Though whether Headingley will offer such helpful conditions for the slow men, if the weather keeps fine, appears unlikely.

Three of the last six ODIs scheduled for Leeds, have been ruined by the rain, including the match with Australia in 2013. The last time England and Australia managed to play out an ODI to a finish in Leeds, was back in 2005, when England romped home by nine wickets.
