India v South Africa 2nd T20I betting tips & predictions at Cuttack

After a defeat in the beautiful hill-station of Dharamsala, India will try their luck against South Africa at Cuttack in the second Twenty20 international between the two sides. The India v South Africa 2nd T20I betting tips & predictions have been placed here.

South Africa won by six wickets to claim the series.

The first game turned out to be a fine contest with both sides showing plenty of appetite. However, South Africa completed a thrilling chase to get their tour off to a positive start. India will need to recover from what can be perceived as a temporary setback in the buildup to the next game.

Faf du Plessis won the toss for the Proteas in the last game and chose to field first. Despite losing Shikhar Dhawan to a run out on the first delivery of the third over, India made a brilliant start to the game with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli calling the shots. Rohit was in his elements as he blasted a 66-ball-100 with 12 boundaries and five sixes. Kohli (43 off 27) had been content with rotating the strike but got in on the act himself with three sixes and a boundary.

The one problem that India had was the fact that both Kohli and Rohit were dismissed on the same over by Kyle Abbott and the batsmen who followed could not keep up the pressure. While India dominated for most of the game, they lost the plot a bit towards the end.

South Africa had their tails up from the very off in the chase with Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers in fine form. Amla was unlucky to be run out for 36 and it brought an end to the 77-run partnership for the first wicket. De Villiers was then superbly cleaned up by R Ashwin with the batsman failing to judge the flight of the delivery. Du Plessis was bowled by Sreenath Aravind on the very next over but India’s joy on the field was limited to these moments as JP Duminy and Farhaan Behardien snatched the game away from their grasps.

Duminy in particular was the key to the win and was the recipient of the MoM award. His 34-ball-68 tilted the game in South Africa’s favour while Behardien rotated the strike well and let loose at every poor delivery that came his way. South Africa completed the 200 run chase with seven wickets and two deliveries to spare.
