The Barisal Bulls take on the Dhaka Dynamites in Saturday’s Bangladesh Premier League eliminator at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Barisal Bulls v Dhaka Dynamites betting tips & predictions can be found below.
The Bulls finished the league stage in third spot with 14 points from 10 matches. Their points tally was equal with the top two teams but they had a vastly inferior net-run-rate stat compared with those two. The Dhaka Dynamites managed to reach the eliminator despite claiming just eight points from 10 league matches, finishing fourth.
These sides featured against each other in their last group fixture on Thursday. The Dhaka Dynamites put up 136 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets batting first. Their innings was rather stop start with none of the batsmen able to get going despite getting decent starts. Mosaddek Hossain top scored with 30 runs off 31 deliveries on the occasion. Nikhil Dutta was Barisal’s best bowler with figures of 18/3 in four overs.
Despite Mehedi Maruf’s 37 runs off 41 deliveries, the Bulls were in danger of losing the game as six of their top seven batsmen failed to get on to double figures. However, a brilliant 54 off 28 deliveries from Rayad Emrit saw them successfully complete the chase with a couple of deliveries to spare.
The Bulls welcomed a new hero into their midst in the last game and after a thoroughly ordinary season in the BPL, they will look to make the most of this opportunity that has presented itself before them.
While the Bulls rested Chris Gayle on Thursday, Kumar Sangakkara was also rested with both men kept fresh for this upcoming fixture. Needless to say, both players will be looking to fire as they look to lead their respective sides into the second qualifier/eliminator on Sunday.
