Pakistan will be gunning for a 3-0 whitewash against Zimbabwe when the two sides meet in the final ODI at Lahore on Sunday. Check out the Pakistan v Zimbabwe 3rd ODI betting tips below.
Story so far:
Interestingly, in the last ODI, we got all our predictions right – that’s an earning of £87.5 if a unit of bet equals £10. That’s right, the three predictions we made in the second Pakistan-Zimbabwe ODI are all here.
It was expected to be a lot tougher for Pakistan after the way they had gone in the series against Bangladesh before that. However, this series has proved the difference in quality between playing Bangladesh away and Zimbabwe at home.
While Zimbabwe have been fighting, in no game have they looked like they were on top at any stage. After being left to chase a near-improbable 376 in the first encounter, Zimbabwe batted first and made 268 in the second ODI.
Justice Chibhabha made 99 and Sikandar Raza, who came in at five, hammered an unbeaten century but they were pegged back by Vusi Sibanda’s start – his 13 at the top of the game came from 47 deliveries and Zimbabwe were never able to overturn it.
Pakistan were propped up by captain Azhar Ali’s century and an unbeaten half-century off the bat of Haris Sohail. What made it special for Pakistan was the starts that every batsman got for them, with Asad Shafiq scoring 39, and Shoaib Malik hitting an unbeaten 36 in the end.
With Elton Chigumbura continuing to remain out of contention, Hamilton Masakadza will continue to lead the side.
Mohammad Hafeez (Pakistan):
It was strange to see Hafeez pushed down to three on Friday after his 83-ball 86 in the first ODI but the good news is that the tactic worked in that Pakistan won easily. Where will he bat this time is difficult to ascertain but combine his off-spin along with his batting and he could well be a player to watch in this third ODI.
Sean Williams (Zimbabwe):
Williams played a cameo in the first ODI but by then the game was already lost. In the second ODI, he was dismissed cheaply, but there’s a lot more that’s expected out of his bat and he could well come good in this final match. His spinning ability may not come too much in handy given that the track isn’t too spin-friendly but it might slow down given the number of games played here.
Pakistan v Zimbabwe head to head:
It’s 45-3 in favour of Pakistan, after they took a 2-0 lead against Zimbabwe.
