With South Africa taking a 1-0 lead in the series, it will be up to Australia to mount a comeback when the two sides meet again in the second ODI.

Date: Friday, November 9
Time: 1.50 pm local time (3.20 am GMT)
Venue: Adelaide Oval, Adelaide

Australia v South Africa 2nd ODI Preview:

Life wasn’t easy for Australia when they batted first in the opener of the series and despite going into the match as favourites, they crashed to a defeat. An easy, crushing defeat. And what that means is they will need to really reassess what they want to do going into this second match.

They might get some respite from the pitch though. The New Perth Stadium had it all for the pacers, especially for the South African pacers who were bowling first – pace, bounce and movement. Adelaide might not be similar unless they decide to leave a lot of grass behind, something they usually try to do for day-night Tests there.

That being said, South Africa showed how to bat on that kind of surface, albeit chasing a low score which takes the pressure off. If Australia when batting first can make more than 250, the chasing team will have an issue given South Africa haven’t got the strongest batting line-up on board.

Australia v South Africa Head to Head in ODIs:

Earlier, we had pointed out that Australia’s the only team with more wins than defeats against every other side in the ODIs since 1971. Against South Africa though, this record is 47-46 and another defeat will mean South Africa becomes the first team with a chance to overturn that strong record.

How to watch Australia v South Africa 2nd ODI Live Streaming:

While there’s news that not a lot of fans were able to watch the first ODI because it was behind a paywall, we believe one of the reasons why the numbers have fallen is the lack of results from Australia. Keep backing the team and they would be able to turn the corner.
