The 15th season of English League Two football begins in August and will see some of the best teams fight it out in the third division of English football. English League Two betting tips have been placed in this article.
The English League 2 season will kick-off with Mansfield Town installed as the early favourites to go up as champions.
Not only did they finish the last campaign strongly, but they have underscored their ambitions to play at a higher level by signing no fewer than 13 players in the close season.
They are also managed by Steve Evans, a controversial figure off the pitch who, nevertheless, has guided the likes of Boston United, Crawley Town and Rotherham United to promotion success before.
They are joined as favourites by two clubs who were once top flight stalwarts but have since fallen down the leagues, Luton Town and Coventry City.
For Luton, having sunk down to the National League, this is their second season back in League 2, and they will be hoping to go one better than last year, when they lost their play-off semi-final on aggregate by conceding a last minute equaliser to Blackpool.

Coventry will be playing in League 2 for the first time, their relegation capping a dismal period for the former FA Cup winners which included administrative problems, off and on the field protests, and the loss of a permanent home ground.
However, following the re-appointment of Mark Robins as manager in March, the team began to show signs of improvement, and there was even a Wembley win to celebrate in the form of the Checkatrade Trophy. They will hope they can continue this good form into the new season and bounce right back.
Lincoln City can be regarded as outside bets to do well this season. Managed by the Cowley brothers, not only did they win promotion as champions from the National League, but they also reached the Quarter-Finals of the FA Cup, losing to eventual winners Arsenal at the Emirates.
Other teams to watch include Notts County, who finished well last season, and Swindon, another relegated club, who, in recent years, have become something of a yo-yo team, alternating between League 1 and League 2 with successive promotions and relegations.
By contrast, at the other end of the table, fans of Morecambe, Barnet, Newport County and newly promoted Forest Green Rovers can expect a tough season as their teams fight to avoid slipping back down to the National League.
