French Ligue 1 Betting Tips & Live Streaming for 2017-18 season

Newly crowned champions AS Monaco were the runaway French Ligue 1 winners of the 2016-17 season and they will be joined by PSG as one of the top two favourites come the new season. Check out the latest French Ligue 1 betting tips for the 2017-18 season.

Last season Monaco defied the odds by bringing to an end Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) dominance in Ligue 1. The Parisian club had won the last four championships but were beaten to the title by Les Monégasques who played a brand of exciting attacking football which drew admirers from around the world.

Unfortunately, such admiration comes at a cost and the winning Monaco side has seen a number of high profile departures to other European clubs over the summer which places doubt on their ability to retain their title.

Bernardo Silva and Benjamin Mendy have already moved to Manchester City, Tiemoué Bakayoko to Chelsea, and Thomas Lemar is expected to join Arsenal.

Then there is Kylian Mbappe who is wanted by every club in Europe, and potentially could join Real Madrid for a world record fee. Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has a proven track record of finding new talent at bargain prices, but even he might struggle to adequately fill all the gaps this time round.

PSG meanwhile are determined to regain their Ligue 1 crown, as well as mount a serious challenge in Europe this season. They are looking at a number of ambitious transfer targets, including Neymar from Barcelona and Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, and can expect to have significantly strengthened their squad by the start of the campaign.

Nice were third last season and can be expected to perform well again, aided by the mercurial talents of Mario Balotelli, whilst both Lyon and Marseille can be expected to challenge for European places, although the Lyonnaise club may find it difficult to replace the goals of Alexandre Lacazette who has moved to Arsenal.

At the other end of the table, expect newly promoted Amiens and Troyes to find themselves in a relegation battle with clubs such as Dijon and Caen.
