Defending champions Bayern Munich will start off as favourites yet again to win the German Bundesliga for the upcoming season. Scroll down to get all the latest German Bundesliga betting tips & odds for 2017-18.
The 55th Bundesliga season kicks off with champions Bayern Munich hosting Bayer Leverkusen in the opening fixture.
Bayern, who have won the championship for the past five years, are already odds-on to add a sixth consecutive title to their list of honours. And it’s not hard to see why.
Although captain Philipp Lahm and influential play-maker Xabi Alonso have now both retired, Bayern’s squad has been strengthened in all departments over the summer, the most prominent arrival being James Rodríguez, the Columbian star of the 2014 World Cup, on a two-year loan deal from Real Madrid.
With star striker Robert Lewandowski apparently settled again, and Thomas Müller and Arjan Robben returning to form and fitness, Bayern’s title credentials look formidable.
The biggest challenge to Bayern’s crown is likely to come from Borussia Dortmund, although their success on the pitch is heavily linked to their ability to keep Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the club.
Aubameyang, last season’s Bundesliga golden boot winner, has been heavily linked with moves to major European teams, and also has attracted interest from Chinese clubs. Without his goals, it will be hard to see Dortmund as more than also-ran this season.

Last year’s surprise team in the Bundesliga were runner’s up RB Leipzig, and it will be interesting to see how they fare this season, especially as they have Champion’s League football to cope with this year. So far they have fended-off interest from European rivals and have kept most of their squad together, but a repeat of last season may be expecting too much
Elsewhere, expect Hertha Berlin, Köln, Hoffenheim and Leverkusen to press for high table finishes at the end of the season, whilst newly-promoted Stuttgart and Hanover will likely join Mainz and perennial strugglers Hamburg in the battle for relegation.
The question, however, remains if the undisputed kings of German football will be toppled this time around? And if so, by whom?
