The Super Kabaddi League will kick-start on May 1 with the opening ceremony while the actual tournament will be played from the next day. This tournament will be played for a total of nine days between May 2 and 10 with all games to be played in Lahore.

In this opening edition of SKL, the 10 teams taking part come from the cities of Lahore, Multan, Kashmir, Sahiwal, Gujrat, Karachi, Islamabad, Gwadar, Faisalabad and Peshawar with players representing Sri Lanka, Iraq, Iran, Malaysia, Japan, Kenya, Bangladesh and Kenya taking part.
