10 of the top women’s cricket teams in the world will go head to head in this year’s World T20 that will be hosted at three different venues in the West Indies. The tournament will be played November 9 and 24 this year and will see 23 games played to decide who comes out on top.

In the 2016 edition of the Women’s World T20, West Indies had beaten Australia in the final of the tournament at Eden Gardens in Kolkata to win the title. This was after they advanced to the final by overcoming New Zealand and England respectively in the semi-finals.

2018 Women’s World T20 Format

Eight of the 10 teams playing this year’s World T20 qualified directly while Bangladesh and Ireland were qualifiers from an event that was held earlier. The 10 teams have been divided into two groups of five apiece, with each side playing four games and the top two teams qualifying for the semi-finals.

Group A has England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Bangladesh while the other group, B, will comprise of Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan and Ireland. The two semi-finals will be played on November 22, while the final will be held on November 24, with all these three matches to be hosted by the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
